I-10, Loop 410, Loop 1604, and Bandera Road are major orientation corridors. The South Texas Medical Center and UTSA create large institutional anchors, while the surrounding built environment ranges from mature subdivisions to denser corridor development and newer infill.
Northwest San Antonio makes more sense when those different contexts are separated rather than treated as one uniform area.
